KATU, LA GRANDE, Ore. — Friday morning I-84 was closed in both directions between Exit 265 and Exit 304 due to winter weather conditions, including multiple commercial trucks that had spun out on the ice and blocked the road.
ODOT said crews had been working through the night to clear away the blocking vehicles and get the interstate open for traffic.
By 8 a.m. ODOT said that many of the trucks blocking lanes have been moved, and that crews were plowing routes to prepare for opening the lanes.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is warning drivers of an upcoming closure of U.S. Highway 20 between the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon. A three-mile section about 27 miles east of Sweet Home and 19 miles west of Santiam Junctions will be closed to traffic from Sept. 9 to Sept. 22.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Deschutes County began a chip-sealing project on about eight miles of Skyliners Road west of Bend on Wednesday, and an official assured concerned cyclists that the bike lane is getting a different treatment that won’t leave it too rough for safe cycling.
Some cyclists and others expressed their concerns on a comment thread on Reddit’s Bend subreddit on Wednesday (warning: some graphic language) upon learning of the project, one of several chip-sealing projects the county is undertaking this summer.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Here is Deschutes County’s road construction update for the week of May 22-28.
2022 Guardrail Improvements (Sunriver Area) – Guardrail replacement work will be occurring on Cottonwood Road and Solar Drive. Work will include removal of existing guardrail and installation of new guardrail in the vicinity of the BNSF Railroad overcrossing on Cottonwood Road and the Solar Drive Bridge. Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
