    Ground has been broken on a spectacular site overlooking the Deschutes River in Bend which will feature luxury condominiums and, in the future, a 4-star and 5-star hotel, complete with a rooftop bar, as part of a 7.6-acre mixed-use development off Century Drive with an estimated price tag north of $100 million.

    BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Black cowboys have long been an integral part of the American West. Thousands of Black cowboys, for instance, rode in the Western cattle drives of the 1860s. Their stories are largely untold in popular narratives, but modern-day Black rodeos keep their traditions alive. A new, original High Desert Museum exhibit celebrates this thriving culture.

    An Australian company is calling it quits on a lithium project in southeast Oregon’s Alvord Desert.

    The Reedy Lagoon Corporation, a mineral explorer based outside Melbourne, announced Friday that it would stop work on its project near the town of Fields, Oregon, after finding out the land was off limits to new mining.
