Youth, para and Age Group/Masters categories, team and school competitions based on results, inclusion, participation and spirit.     Do you know about the Cascade Gravel Grinder? Well, it’s in Bend this weekend and it is one of the most scenic and diverse gravel events in the country. Located in Bend the event will provide three days of amazing rides through the Central Oregon high desert and Cascade Mountain Range.   • Beginning Bicycle Repair Clinic

    Pine Mountain Sports is hosting another FREE rad bike clinic.  Learn to repair your mountain bike on the trail and it will keep you safe and confident on long rides. The beginners clinic is taught in the workshop after hours and will cover the basics including flat tire repairs, caring for your chain, and basic maintenance.  No need to bring your bicycle.   • Earth Day Celebration At Tentsile Tents In Bend

    Join Tentsile on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day, drink free beer, and listen to live bluegrass music – all while benefitting the Deschutes Trails Coalition. We’re excited to host The Pitchfork Revolution, a true blue Northwest band! MORE INFO HERE!

    This free, all-ages event will feature Trail Beer courtesy of 10 Barrel, kombucha by Humm, and tacos for purchase by El Sancho taco cart. Buy a raffle ticket for $5 to support the Deschutes Trails Coalition: grand prize giveaway is a two-person tree tent, the Connect ($450 value).

  • Mt. Bachelor's "RENDEVAN" The Party's Started

    Mt. Bachelor launched the first annual “Rendevan” Wednesday. The set up is big and it’s going to be a fun weekend. Every day through Sunday with lifts and live music until 7pm and a whole bunch of other shenanigans.  This is a spring skiing party unlike anything they’ve done before. More INFO HERE.

    Camp spots are sold out but don’t let that stop you from joining the party. All the events and live music are open and FREE for everyone. Come celebrate Spring Skiing!

  • RendezVan At Mt. Bachelor April 17 - 21

    RendezVan is Mt. Bachelor’s new spring event that celebrates Spring Skiing and resort camping. The set up and schedule look pretty cool. A RV/Van village will feature live music for 5 days from Wednesday through Sunday. Food options, a bar and fun activities like 80’s day and Adult Prom will add to the festivities.

    Looks like camp spots are sold out, but day visitors are welcomed. Lifts open until 7pm. This is a serious effort by Mt. Bachelor to create something really unique and celebrate what we think is the best spring skiing in the country right here in our #backyardbend.

    Okay, this is only for the most hardy, but it is kinda of interesting to see how humans continue to challenge themselves physically and mentally with increased interest in endurance racing. Check out the full article HERE!

    Bend certainly has its share of people who are participating in some kind of endurance event and the Pole, Pedal, Paddle is one of the original endurance races and it’s not far away.


  • Gerry Lopez Big Wave Challenge

    Big Wave Challenge 2019

    It’s happening this weekend at Mt. Bachelor. This snowboard only event is one of a kind and it’s right here in Central Oregon. Gerry Lopez has created a surf style event for snowboarding and it’s a great weekend of fun and it’s raising money for our friend, Pat Malendoski. Park Raker Pat is one of the original people who helped shape snowboarding and park riding when it was just getting started.

    This is a little video we created to get you stoked. Come out to watch this spectator friendly event. Comp should be Saturday April 13th, but check the Mt. Bachelor website to confirm.

    On May 14th, 2018, “UltraPedestrian” Ras Vaughan and Kathy “OBAL Unbranded” Vaughan, aka Team UltraPedestrian, set out hiking south on the Idaho Centennial Trail from the small town of Hammett, Idaho.
