• Chinook Return To Land Trust Protected Lands On Whychus Creek

    Some good news regarding efforts to restore Whychus Creek aquatic habitat and have Chinook Salmon return to this Deschutes River tributary. The Deschutes Land Trust together with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and PG&E made efforts over 10 years ago to protect and restore the headwaters where Chinook traditionally have spawned for generations. This effort seems to be paying off.

    The 12th Annual 4 Peaks Music Festival is happening this solstice weekend and it’s finally here.  Our friends at 4 Peaks have bring us Bend’s only multi-day music festival and we are excited for another year of outdoor music fun.     Are you looking for a healthy ride this weekend? Crest The Cascades is a great option with incredible views out of Sisters, great camaraderie, support and after ride food and fun.  This is an opportunity to ride on the McKenzie Pass Scenic Bikeway with friends and support.

    This ride is a can’t miss event for die hard cyclists all the way through those who borrowed their friends bike and just want a nice day out. The opportunity to ride on a closed highway through lava flows that are thousands of years old makes this event one of a kind.
