Smith Rock Craggin' Classic 2019

There is a  lot happening this weekend in #backyardbend. Outdoor City USA at Mt. Bachelor will be a fun interactive outdoor lovers event. The annual Smith Rock Craggin’ Classic is also this weekend Sept 13-15th. Make the most of it and get outdoors. More INFO HERE.

Let’s celebrate the mighty PNW! Join the American Alpine Club, CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment, and Edelrid at Oregon’s historic Smith Rock State Park September 13-15, for the 2019 Smith Rock Craggin’ Classic!

This 3-day climbing festival celebrates and welcomes climbers at every skill level. We’ve got a full line-up of clinics taught by professional climbers and local guides from Chockstone Climbing Guides, plus presentations by EDELRID athlete Tommy Caldwell and Sterling athletes Maureen Beck and Jim Ewing.

The Slackrobats will be on hand Saturday for some crazy slacklining shenanigans – you’ll get to watch the pros, strut your stuff, have a little friendly competition, and might just snag some prizes!

Sip free beer from 10 Barrel Brewing Co., grab tasty meals from the local food truck “The Bob”, peruse the silent auction and raffle for incredible deals on top-end gear, enjoy free Saturday and Sunday morning breakfasts provided by Climbers for Christ and Mountain Gear, and give back by helping out with trail work with High Desert Climbers Alliance and Oregon State Parks.

The venue’s proximity to the Park means that climbing is just a short walk from your tent. Whether you’re most excited about learning new skills, meeting new friends, or connecting with a larger community, don’t miss this Craggin’ Classic!
