Looking to get out of town this weekend? Head to Yachats on Saturday Feb 29th for the Cape Perpetua winter speaker series. Hosted by the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center. More INFO HERE. 

Andrea Scharf will talk about the history of the Big Creek campaign to stop development of a destination resort on the property and efforts to restore the Oregon silverspot butterfly population and bring it back from the brink of extinction.

The event is free, but a Northwest Forest Pass, Oregon Coast Passport, federal recreation pass, or $5 day-use fee is required within the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and at some trailheads and day use sites.
