Rugged Thread Snags Big Award At Bend Venture Out

Bend company, Rugged Thread, captured the top award last night at Bend Outdoor Worx, Venture Out Conference at the Tower.  Out of 9 national Outdoor Company finalist, Rugged Thread was chosen to receive $75,000 in funding from Business Oregon to scale their business to a national model. Kim from Rugged Thread presented her vision to create a new repair economy in the outdoor products industry.

It was an exciting night for Bend to see another local company breaking out with innovation and vision to change the world one repair at a time.  She is poised to bring new awareness to outdoor clothing and gear manufactures, as well as, consumers that extending the life of products is cost effective, environmentally sustainable, and just the right thing to do.
