AFTERNOON PARKING AND TIPS ON

HOW TO SECURE RESERVATIONS

Mother Nature has been kind to us at Mt. Bachelor this winter by delivering nearly 15 feet of snow to date. Guests are embracing our Back to Basics safe operating plan by coming prepared, using cars as a home base, and staying masked up (above the mouth and nose) at all times. We are happy to hear the first Oregonians are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine; however, we will continue to require that all guests wear face coverings while at the mountain, including those who have received the vaccine. As a reminder — guests who elect to defy the mask policy or create conflict with Mt. Bachelor employees regarding this or other safety policies will be subject to pass suspension. Thank you for being safe, kind, and respectful — we appreciate it!

PARKING UPDATE: AFTERNOON SPOTS ARE HERE!

Over the last six weeks, we have been closely monitoring skier volume, guest behavior, frequency of drop-offs, and no-show / cancellation rates across the resort. Based on  these observations, we are introducing a new afternoon time slot for parking reservations that will allow guests to scan into the parking lot starting at 12:00 p.m. daily. This will create more access to ski and allow for afternoon pre-planning. Afternoon reservations will be released starting today at 7:30 a.m. for the next seven days and can be booked on the Mt. Bachelor website, parkwhiz.com or the ParkWhiz app. Now with another option for pre-planning available, we’ve come up with some tips to help you better secure a reservation that works for you!

TIPS FOR SECURING YOUR NEXT RESERVATION

  • Each Monday at 6:00 p.m. there will be a release of more “Advance Day” inventory. Additional parking inventory for All Day reservations (7:00 a.m. start time for scanning in) will open up for the next 28 days, and starting Monday January 25, inventory for Afternoon reservations (12:00 p.m. start time for scanning in) will open up for the next seven days ahead. Both reservation time slot options will follow this cadence each Monday at 6:00 p.m.
  • Both All Day and Afternoon inventory is being released on a rolling basis. This means that as we approach any given ski day, and the terrain footprint, weather, wind, or other variables become more clear we are able to release more spaces. This is not on a specific schedule, but occurs as early as a few days prior to any operating day.
  • Same-day reservations typically release starting at 6:00 a.m. each ski day once lift status, weather forecast, and terrain footprint have been determined.
  • We are seeing hundreds of reservations turn over every day that are available for re-booking in real time! The highest rate of turnover occurs between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. for the day ahead.

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS? WE GOT ANSWERS!

Scan in time starts at noon — can I arrive at 11:30? No. Scanning for the afternoon reservation begins at 12:00 p.m. and guests who arrive prior to this time will not be allowed entry.

Is the No-Show policy in effect for the Afternoon reservations? Yes. If plans change, guests are required to cancel their reservation by 12:00 p.m. noon. Cancelled reservations are then available for others to book in real time, which allows another skier or rider to enjoy an afternoon at the mountain.

What do I do if I want to ski before noon? We know many of you love to get your early morning laps in! To enter into the lot on any given day before 12:00 p.m. you’ll need to secure an All Day parking reservation through the Mt. Bachelor website, parkwhiz.com, or the ParkWhiz app. You will be scanned in with your QR code as usual to gain entry into the parking lot.
