The little gem in Millican

Hello there!  My name is Becky, (also known as “capturetherapture” on Instagram) and I wanted to stop by and shine a light on this little gem I found right here in our own backyard! Located about 26 miles east of Bend off Hwy 20 is a turn of the century old jail cell and gallows!!  If you’ve ever been to the Pine Mountain Observatory then you’ve passed right by it.  Most people miss it or quickly dismiss it as just another decrepit barn or shed that we commonly see around our rural areas.  Well, one day my curiosity got the best of me and I just had to go check it out, and come to find out, the inside of the cell was lined with old Oregonian Newspapers dated back to 1924!  (How neat is that!?)  Want to see more?  Check out the map to see some other photos I’ve posted from this area, or go check it out for yourself, you never know what you might find!  Thanks and have a great time exploring!!
