It’s deep and steep at Hoodoo!
Sisters, Ore. – Hoodoo Ski Area will open today, Thursday, Dec. 15, with a base of approximately 61 inches, the deepest mid-December base since the 2001-2002 ski season. An additional 6-12 inches of snow are predicted in the current forecast through Thursday evening. Hoodoo has received 91.4 inches of cumulative snowfall since Oct. 1.
“We are excited about the great beginning of this new snow season. Currently our base is around five feet, which is over a foot higher than the base has been at this time of the season during the last decade,” said Chuck Shepard, Hoodoo’s owner.
