Goggles For Docs - Donate Today April 9th

Posted on in categories Skiing & Snowboarding , Uncategorized

Thanks to our friends at Mt. Bachelor for organizing “Goggles For Docs”.  Send It. Dig through those ski bags and send those second or third pair of backup goggles to the front line healthcare workers who will put them to good use. Mt. Bachelor is collecting donations and contributing a big stash of their own. See their statement below for where and when. This is something easy the snow shredding community can do. Let’s do this!

From Mt. Bachelor

Our deepest gratitude goes to the First Line Health Care Workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. With a shortage of PPE, we’re asking you dig into your closets, garages, and gear bins, and consider donating your old goggles along with Mt. Bachelor to our local community and Goggles for Docs program. Mt. Bachelor will be donating new goggles from Gravity Sports and cleaning out our lost and found for donations.

Donations will be accepted this Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9 at the Mt. Bachelor Park-n-Ride (SW Columbia St, Bend, OR 97702) from 9am – 1pm. Drop off is drive-thru style and your donated goggles must be wiped down / sanitized and in a sealed / ziplock bag. Mt. Bachelor staff will be onsite and we ask that you maintain social distancing and stay in your vehicle for the safety of our staff and other donors.

Donations will be to sent to First Line Health Care Workers in Central Oregon (local doctors, nurses, medics…). Additional goggles will be sent via Goggles for Docs to hospitals with the highest need such as those in CA, CO, and NY. Thank you for your consideration — we are all in this together.
