Fly Tying 101 with Dave Merrick

Fly and Field Outfitters is hosting their Fly Tying 101 Class on Tuesday November 7 from 6-8pm.  Join Dave Merrick as he shares his expertise on fly tying.

Don’t have a vise or tools? No worries! They will have some for use in class. Have your own? Feel free to bring them! They will also provide all materials for in-class sessions.

The class is a four series course over four different nights. They will kick off the course with an introduction to fly tying on Tuesdays. This will include anything from threading a bobbin to reading a fly tying recipe. Each following session, you will learn how to tie a new fly or two! Here is what the entire Fly Tying 101 class will look like:

Tuesday, November 7th 6-8pm- Introduction to Fly Tying and Wooly Bugger
Thursday, November 9th 6-8pm- Jimmy Legs and Midges
Tuesday, November 14th 6-8pm- Hares Ears and Pheasant Tails
Thursday, November 16th 6-8pm- Elk Hair Caddis and Open Tie
