Can you believe it? Collective Soul will be performing live and outdoors, up close and personal, at Century Center on Bend’s Westside!
When Seattle grunge went mainstream, it was only a matter of time before the ripple effect spread to regions other than the Pacific Northwest. And it was Georgia based Collective Soul who developed the genre into a succinct type of angst, turning the sonic cacophony of grunge into radio-friendly hard rock in the early ’90s. Within months of their debut effort Hints, Allegations & Things Left Unsaid, their song ”Shine” became a modern rock and MTV staple. Collective Soul quickly gained international recognition and double-platinum status finding themselves with a platinum debut, an arena tour alongside Aerosmith, and a spot on the roster for Woodstock 1994. The bandmates released their self titled sophomore effort the following year, spawning five Top Ten hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock chart including “December”, the symphonic “World I Know,” and gathering multi-platinum sales for the album. The band’s fourth album was 1999’s platinum certified Dosage. The first single “Heavy” set a new high mark for 15 weeks at #1 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Singles such as “Run“, “Needs“, and “Tremble For My Beloved” also gained notable positions on the rock charts. The songs on the band’s 2022 and 11th album Vibrating, showcase Collective Soul as a band firing on all cylinders; their craft having been honed and sharpened over the years. Be sure to see and hear them for yourselves, first hand, when they make their presence known outdoors at Century Center on the evening of Thursday, October 5th.
