• Deschutes County Moves From Extreme to High Risk Category and Inside Dining to Resume

    Governor Kate Brown announced several counties have made improvements in the number of COVID cases and has moved counties into less restrictive categories. Deschutes county has been moved from extreme to high risk and thus guidelines for dining, recreation, fitness facilities, retail and faith institutions are changing as of Friday February 12th. Crook and Jefferson county remain in the extreme risk category at this time. See the state guidelines HERE.

    What does this mean for Deschutes County? Some indoor dining, larger capacities for indoor fitness, entertainment, retail, and faith institutions. Yay!!! Let’s keep up the good work lowering the COVID cases.

  • Teachers Start Getting COVID-19 Vaccines

    Teachers in Central Oregon have started receiving the COVID 19 vaccine and it couldn’t have come soon enough. Getting kids back in school is a significant part of getting our local economy back to functioning normally. We know many parents have had the additional challenge of trying to assist their children with remote learning and also continue to provide for their family.
