Bend Outdoor Worx Venture Out Festival Oct. 18th At The Tower Copy
9 outdoor companies will vie for over $100,000 in funding to help them grow their business from Venture Out and Business Oregon.
Local company, Rugged Thread, is in the mix for Growth Stage companies and will compete with Pedaling Innovations of Grand Junction, Colorado and Nomadix, a California company. Rugged Thread performs repair work on technical outdoor clothing and gear for consumers and also for manufactures. REI, Giant Loop and Mt. Bachelor all use their service for warranty and other repairs.
Owner, Kim Kinney, says “The process to be part of Bend Outdoor Worx Venture Out Festival has helped us focus on business development, our business model and scaling our business. Getting more outdoor manufacturers to use our service helps them reduce their costs, improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, and reduces landfill waste. It just makes sense.”
You can come out to the Tower on Wednesday night and see some “Shark Tank” style presentations go down and help pick cash grant winners. Tickets on sale now at Eventbrite.com.
