Posted on in category Skiing & Snowboarding

Friday January 24th is another chance for your introduction to skate skiing. You know you have been wanting to. Now you have no excuse with the help of MBSEF and Pine Mountains Sports you’ll get the instruction to get you off and skating.

A morning group lesson for beginning skate skiers led by our friends at MBSEF. Meet at Pine Mountain Sports by 9am. We’ll all ride up together in the MBSEF van to the Mt Bachelor Nordic Center, and our MBSEF instructor will guide us thru the basics of skate skiing. No skate ski experience is needed but we’ll expect that you’ve been on skis before. This lesson covers some good skate ski learning drills and contains useful tips for beginning/intermediate skate skiers as well. More INFO HERE.

Lesson length is approx 90 minutes, and we are usually back to town by around noon.

You’ll need to provide your own skate gear (which can be rented at Pine Mtn. Sports the day before for $30). Dress warm, but in layers (as you’ll probably get hot). If you have a Nordic Pass, please bring it. Otherwise we will provide you with a day pass at no additional cost.

RSVP and $35 advance payment required as lesson space is limited to 12 students and 2 instructors.

NOTES: No refunds given for cancellations made within 7 days of the outing. During the lesson, please leave your cars parked on 15th street behind our store, thanks!
