Posted on in category Film

Screenings this Saturday and Sunday in Bend and Sisters. More INFO HERE!

We are giving away some tickets on our Facebook Page.

The Backcountry Film Festival is produced each year by Winter Wildlands Alliance as a celebration of the human-powered experience and a gathering place for the backcountry snowsports community. Winter Wildlands Alliance is a nonprofit organization working at the national level to inspire and educate the backcountry community to protect and care for their winter landscapes. Funds raised at each screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter management issues.

This year’s line up is highly anticipated, so be sure to purchase your tickets early. Tickets cost $15 and proceeds raised for Discover Your Forest go to Project SNOW (Studying Nature Outdoors in Winter), a program dedicated to providing outdoor education experiences for over 2,000 kids in Central Oregon.

Mark your calendars for three screenings. The first and second will take place in Bend at the Volcanic Theater Pub on February 16th at 6pm and 9:30pm. The third will take place in Sisters at the Sisters Movie house on February 17th at 7pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Raffle prizes, auction items, and more will be up for grabs.
