• The Greatest Good Lecture Series "Our Wild and Scenic Rivers"

    This is a really great series about our local wild and scenic areas. February 8th – Lisa Machnik, Recreation, Partnerships, Lands and Archaeology Staff Officer, will discuss the past, present and future of our Wild and Scenic Rivers as we celebrate 50 Years since the signing of the original legislation.     The Deschutes National Forest, Discover Your Forest and OSU-Cascades are partnering to offer educational opportunities for OSU-Cascades Students and the public. A lecture series called “The Greatest Good” will feature presentations from land managers and specialists from the Deschutes National Forest on a variety of topics in natural resources.

    In February, pint night will support the Buckingham Elementary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program! Come out and support one of your local schools.

    $1 of every pint sold between 4pm-9pm will be donated to support this program.

    Central Oregon’s Laurenne Ross is going to PyeongChang for her second straight Olympic appearance with the US Ski Team.  She will represent Bend and Central Oregon well and we are so stoked to watch her in the coming weeks in South Korea’s Winter Olympics. Check out this recent story by KGW

    The snow sports community lost a legend on Jan 25th when Warren Miller took his final journey to endless lines of powder. He was the father of ski film making and pioneered the creation of stoke for skiing and snowboarding. He will be missed but not forgotten.

    Miller once said, “A pair of skis are the ultimate transportation to freedom.” Well Ride On Warren Miller!!!
