Fly and Field Outfitters is hosting their Fly Tying 101 Class on Tuesday November 7 from 6-8pm. Join Dave Merrick as he shares his expertise on fly tying.
Don’t have a vise or tools? No worries! They will have some for use in class. Have your own? Feel free to bring them! They will also provide all materials for in-class sessions.
The class is a four series course over four different nights. They will kick off the course with an introduction to fly tying on Tuesdays. This will include anything from threading a bobbin to reading a fly tying recipe. Each following session, you will learn how to tie a new fly or two! Here is what the entire Fly
We’ll be building out the new connector single-track trail from the bottom of Pine Drops to the Phil’s/300 junction. A section of COD may be rerouted as well.
We expect 100 or more for this workday so come and join the fun and meet some new friends. We will work for 3+ hrs and then reconvene for lunch and beer. Food and beverage are free to all our trail work volunteers.

Matchstick Productions brings their 2017 ski film, “Drop Everything” to the Volcanic Theater. If you’re looking for some stunning backcountry snowmobiling, you’ll find “Sled Film 18” at the Tower Theater, shows on Friday and Saturday. And, if you’re looking for a wildlife conservation film experience, that’s happening at 10 Barrel Brewing with the screening of “Adventure Films For Conservation”. Looks like a chilly Friday night so a good outdoor film in a warm theater with a cold brew might be just the ticket to a nice evening out.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the 18th annual Powderhound Preview. This event always sells out so get em while you can.
